(Burgundy Sun x The Sun Orchid) 2015 Chestnut Colt
This spectacular colt is a result of using the old horsemen’s adage: “Let the sire of the sire be the grandsire of the dam.” His sire’s sire is Phara Farm’s foundation stallion, Eclipse of the Sun. Eclipse is also the grandsire of The Sun Orchid. This colt is 75% Phara breeding and 25% Straight Egyptian through his granddam, Kyobi Rihma.
Nicknamed “Light” because of his happy personality and personal glow, he brings joy to everyone around him. He has an amazing shoulder, very correct legs, the proper “thirds” balance in his conformation and free movement. The frosting on the cake is his extreme classic look: very pronounced jibbah, short head and low-set, large eyes. We are not sure of the depth of his color yet since he still has his baby hair. Potentially, he could be a dark liver chestnut like his paternal half brother, The Ebony Sun.
